My fingers felt electrified as I manipulated the fluid, bending and twisting it so that it seemed like a watery snake was weaving itself through the air. I sat forward, my mind still working the magic before me as I felt my muscles lose the tension in them. The cold water of the stream tickled my feet and I sighed in contentment. Then the tension returned as I felt a cool brush of air. Wind. That damned Number VII. . .

I frowned, the snake moving faster. Relieved that she left earlier, I thought that I'd relax with her gone, but it wasn't working. I could feel the ambitious energy radiating off of her, along with a cold ruthlessness that I've never felt before. She would be willing to overthrow all of us to be Superior. First Seycax, then Xanhan, Braxyd, me and finally Nexan. Max would be nothing more than a pesky fly in her plan.

A smirk crossed my lips as I thought of her ridiculous plan. One of us alone is powerful, but 6 of us together? She'd never stand a chance. I would make it my personal mission to crush her plans before she could even initiate part one. I am not willing to give up my place in the Organization or my friend's safety just for her power-hungry plans.

It could be possible that she'll try to target us one by one and turn us all against each other. . . But that's futile. Nexan, Braxyd, Maxsodin and I all have a bond closer than anything. She'll never be able to break it. I'm certain.

  1. It usually the overlook detail that foils ones seemingly flawless plans.

Let see... perhaps... a mere fly?
