I don't know what desperate instinct drove me to enter my god-forsaken pit of a room, but I did.
I paced like a caged animal, because that's exactly how I felt. Caged. Trapped.
First thing I did was eat soap, trying vainly to rid my mouth of the ashy taste of Braxyd. I choked and blanched at the flavor, but I overpowered everything else.
Next, I paced and threw curses at the walls. I had the strangest feeling Braxyd had seen me with Xemnas. I don't know how such a preposterous idea had become so horrifyingly realistic, but it had. Didn't he say he and Mickey were trying to reach the same realm I was in? But no... no, they couldn't have! Only I could go there. At least, and get back out.
Slowly, my hands became coated in thick, black darkness. It was only normal, really. For me, at least. It would spread up my arm and slightly past my elbow, but never had it ever threatened to consume me. Not that it did now, either. I stared with strange calm at the spreading darkness on my arm.
Suddenly, I turned and blasted it against the wall. The entire room became coated and crawling with the substance. I was besides myself with an unfathomable glee. Surrounded by darkness, I was in my element; both figuratively and literally. It didn't take much for me to gain control over the oozing darkness. I condensed it onto the floor and, slowly, crouched down and placed my palm flat on the floor. The darkness snaked over to my hand and returned itself inside me. I shivered with the mass of power that flowed momentarily through me, then the darkness settled itself once again I felt normal, if not slightly drained.
I was a bit upset that my hands were still coated in the darkness. I scowled and searched the piles of junk in my room for my gloves. I found them. They were torn and ripped in many places. They looked like they had been mauled by a bear. But they kind of were. Saix was close to a bear, right?
I slipped them on and was satisfied the darkness covering my hands created the illusion of non-ripped gloves on normal hands. It was what I was aiming for. Drawing in a quick breath, I slipped out my door, attempting to get out of the castle and hide in some other world. That's when I was stopped in mid-stride by Braxyd grabbing my hood and holding me in place.
